My approach to counseling is collaborative, in that I work to find the best style for
you and your goals. My work with one person might look different from my work with another. The most important element in any therapy experience is building a strong and nurturing therapy relationship, so that you can feel safe to explore and understand yourself.
More spefically, I am an integrationist, and draw on psychoanalytic,
humanistic, and cognitive behavioral theories, allowing me to create the right blend of
past and current focus, and help you make progress with your concerns. I also draw on
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy modules and mindfulness based approaches, providing
concrete skills to help with behavioral changes.
