Frequently Asked Questions

  • Therapists are people too, and finding one that is a good “match” is an important part of the work. Feeling comfortable with and trusting your therapist are both vital to a good relationship. I like to tell my clients that I have a thick skin- I’d far rather hear from you that something I am doing isn’t working for you and try a different approach. If that doesn’t help, and if it feels like we aren’t a good match for whatever reason, I will try to find you someone who is!

  • I do not participate with any insurance plans. However, you may have “out-of-network” benefits through your insurance company. These benefits will usually cover a portion of my fees.

You may have a deductible or a per-visit “co-insurance amount.” You would be responsible for my full fee at the time of service, and then I can provide you a “superbill,” which you can send to your company for reimbursement. You can check out “out-of-network FAQs” document for more information on the process or contact your insurance company directly.

Some people also choose to use a third-party app to submit and manage claims. For your convenience, I have registered my practice with the app reimbursify, to submit and manage claims. If you have more questions, feel free to read over my “out-of-network FAQs” document or contact me.

  • An initial evaluation will take 60 minutes and costs $325. Follow-up visits last approximately 50 minutes and cost $300.

Disclaimer for “good faith estimate” for cash pay and out-of-network patients

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, healthcare providers and healthcare facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal healthcare program, or not seeking to a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE) of expected charges. The GFE shows the costs of items and services that are reasonably expected for services provided by TTC. The estimate is based on information known at the time the estimate was created. It does not take into account any reimbursement that you may receive as a result of out-of-network benefits.

The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur.

If you are billed for more than this Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
